Quick and easy tip: Watch out for those critters! Keep trees and other debris away from outdoor electrical wiring. It could not only cause an obstruction to the operation of electrical wires but can also create easy accessibility for animals, such as squirrels, to chew on the wire.
In the case shown below, the damage to these outdoor wires were causing the main breaker to (for the lack of a better word) fry. Therefore, not allowing any electricity to be used at this house. This is not even a job for Poss Electric! Call your electric company and report a dangerous condition. The panel on this house was badly in need of an upgrade but it may have lasted longer had the trees been maintained.
